                                          FOR WOMEN ONLY

Okay ladies, this page is for you.  Please send me your pictures, your stories, your thoughts, or any information you would like to pass along.  Can't wait to get this page going.

14th ANNUAL WOMEN RIDING FOR WOMEN

The 14th Annual Women Riding for Women held on 6 September 2009 had an awesome attendance of 78 women.  Once again, we met at the Hometown Cafe for breakfast, followed by a 80 mile ride through Skagit County and ending at Scooter Stuff.  A big spaghetti/pasta feed was donated by Food Services of America and there was a bunch of raffle and auction items.

We were pleased to present the Skagit Domestic Violence and Sexual Services with a check for $3,000.00.

You ladies kicked ass again -

13th ANNUAL WOMEN RIDING FOR WOMEN

The attendance was outstanding and the weather was awesome for the 13th Annual Women Riding for Women in support of Skagit's Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services.  Once again, Peggy and Cheryl of the Hometown Cafe, in Sedro-Woolley, hosted the start of the run.  The registration tables were run by Pam Crume and Debbie Stroud and the Hometown provided a great buffet breakfast.  The women broke off in small groups to do the run, which headed into the flats, ending at Scooter Stuff.  Lunch, consisting of lasagna, salad, and cookies was provided by various food service companies doing business with the Hometown Cafe and a great variety of raffle items were donated by various individuals and business's in support of the run.

Approximately 80 women registered to ride, from areas as north as Blaine to Seattle.  At first glance, we raised approximately $3,500 which will be presented to Skagit's DVSAS in October in support of Domestic Violence month.

Again, thanks to all the ladies who attended - you should be proud of yourselves for helping this worthy cause.

10 AUGUST 2008

Deb, Donna and Pam came by on Sunday and while they were hanging out a couple of hikers, Josephine from Australia and Linda from Seattle stopped by.  They visited for quite a while and Josephine, a professional photographer, shot a couple of great pics of the girls.

Missy, from Kuryakyn, joined Jolene and I at the Corner Tavern during Oyster Run 2006.  What great fun we had.
